Point 99 - Macquarie Centre
Ben and I
walked from our IT practical lesson on Monday evening and we felt the calling of
food. So as per our usual semester routine following class on Monday, we wandered
across to Macquarie Centre. Ben pointed out an interesting burger place we have
yet to try in our years at Macquarie, so we decided to give it a shot. The
place was called Point 99.
We found a cosy
spot in the back corner of the restaurant and we looked over the menu. We both
went to the counter and decided to try the ‘99 Crispy Chicken Burger’. This
burger boasted a fried, spicy, crispy chicken breast cooked into perfection
with lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion, 99 sauce and sweet chili sauce. Returning
to our seats, Ben pointed out the Green Wall behind us and we then managed to
catch up on our lives, since Ben has been overseas for approximately three
weeks. Throughout our conversation, Ben’s meal arrived and I continued to wait
patiently. It was not until ten to fifteen minutes later that I realised my
meal was forgotten. I had to inform the waiter that my meal wasn’t being made,
much to my disappointment.
When my meal FINALLY
came out, I dove straight into because I was getting hungrier every second
staring at Ben’s meal. The flavours were to some degree worth waiting for and
the sauce was quite tasty. I do recommend the food here – if they remember to
start making it!
