Tella balls

Hello my incredible food punners!

Bella here, I promised you a sweet treat and todays post will not be a disappointment I can assure you that. Today I will be diving into the world of the delectable and divine Tella Balls dessert bar located in Castle Towers shopping centre, Castle Hill. Tella Balls, despite the funny name is a dessert shop that sells a wide variety of different ooey gooey sweet treats, from their famous brioche donuts to killer milkshakes, decedent gelato and the best waffles, crepes or pancakes you’ve ever had.

Emily (a fellow blogger here) and I decided to head to Tella Balls to see what it all the rush the past couple of months have been about. Emily decided to get the famous Tella Balls slider which is a donut, filled with Nutella, chopped in half and made into a mini slider or hamburger with any gelato of your choice. We decided to go for rainbow gelato because it’s the best flavour ever. Both Emily and I really enjoyed it, however it was incredibly sweet and there was no way one person could eat a whole one themselves. It’s great that its customisable and you can pick any flavour gelato depending on what you like, you can even choose your own donut flavour for a tad bit extra. Overall for $9 I would give this one a 6/10, it wasn’t anything surprising or special but still a great sweet snack.

I decided to get one of the more interesting desserts on their menu called the pastatella. I love being surprised with food and when it’s creative so this one was right up my ally. It’s crepe “spaghetti” with milk and white chocolate sauce and vanilla bean gelato and a strawberry on top. This was such a fun dish to eat. You had the crepes which were cooked beautifully and the chocolate which was very rich however it was cut with the sweet coolness of the gelato. Again, this is not a dish that you can eat alone, Emily and I only managed to get half way through this one! A little bit more on the expensive side at $18 I thought the dish was fun and a fresh take on your normal chocolate crepes. Overall, I would give this an 9/10.

If you are ever up at the Towers and just looking for a fun place to go and get a milkshake or dessert after dinner I would definitely recommend Tella balls. It reminded me of both Oliver Brown and Max Brenner except it took the fun aspect to another level which made it just that much more enjoyable.

Anyway, that’s all for now,
See you again soon!
Bella
